Airport Management Systems

SAS is pleased to announce that it has signed a long-term Strategic Business Agreement with TTI (Telecommunications Technology Inc) as their exclusive agent and Value Added Reseller for China, including Hong Kong, Macau and Mongolia. TTI produces the world’s most advanced optical/electronics airport security system for an Aircraft Tail Number Identification System (ATNIS), which combines with a Worldwide Aircraft Surveillance Platform (WASP). ATNIS-WASP can greatly improve management of all aircraft on small and large airports, by real-time identification of the aircraft ID and physical characteristics, as well as ownership and home base location. Aircraft ID takes place in 3 to 30 seconds with 95% accuracy, in all weather conditions including rain, snow and fog, day and night, using both optical and IR cameras. The WASP system processes all captured ID information, logs all aircraft movements, ensures payments of landing fees, if any, and provides alarms to both local and centralized wide area authorities real-time, and allows monitoring for any unauthorized movements.

The TTI System is currently deployed throughout the U.S. at state and municipal operated General Aviation airports, as well as under the auspices of the Department of Homeland Security for a number of selected locations. It has also been deployed in several foreign countries. It allows airport management and law enforcement authorities to identify, log, and track all aircraft landing and taking off, in real time with nearly 100% accuracy. Unauthorized and rogue aircraft can immediately be identified, tracked, and intercepted if necessary, and specific aircraft can be placed on watch lists to be flagged at any location where they appear. When equipped with video cameras, real-time motion of both aircraft and ground vehicles can be monitored by airport traffic management. For airports which collect landing fees, the permanent log maintained by the system ensures that all aircraft are properly billed for fees owed. These same logs allow accurate analysis of airport activity 24 hours a day.

As China expands its general aviation infrastructure, SAS will work with the Chinese authorities to deploy the TTI system for both airport Security and traffic analysis purposes.
