General Aviation will provide significant industrial and economic value to China over the next decade. In countries with highly developed GA infrastructure, GA adds billions of dollars to the annual economy by providing rapid and cost effective transportation of goods and services country-wide. China has created a world class air transport industry serving the entire country and the world, and is poised to now expand its aviation capabilities by building a nationwide GA infrastructure serving industrial and governmental organizations. As the country gradually opens its airspace to GA flights, it will require construction of GA airports, serviced by on-site and fully equipped Fixed Base Operators (FBOs) and Airport Management entities to provide airport management, tracking and logging of all aircraft and other vehicles within the airport, flight training to pilots, and pilot and aircraft services for aircraft owners and operators. New airports will require physical facilities such as runway and taxiway lighting, airport ground activity surveillance, and radio communications and navigation equipment for on-airport and tower communications. There will be an increasing demand for licensed pilots, and pilot training will require both training and rental aircraft and flight training simulators. SAS will work with every level of the expanding GA infrastructure to provide modern proven and FAA/CAAC certified equipment hardware and software.
